The California Highway Patrol (CHP) Hayward area is looking for motivated citizens from Hayward, Union City, Fremont, and Newark who want to give something back to their community as Senior Volunteers. The volunteer must be 55 years and older, can work a minimum of 4 hours per week, Pass background check, Have a good driving record, Complete CHP Senior Volunteer training program.  

CHP Hayward is located at 2434 Whipple road in Hayward.   The duties include: Administration functions, such as filing, data entry, photocopying, answering phones, and assisting the Watch officer at the front desk. Some field functions would include community events, assisting the Public Information’s Officer in instructing the “Age Well Drive Smart” class and shuttling vehicles/equipment.
